L6Q Firmware v1.7.1
New Features Added with Firmware Update
On 20 October, the L6Q Camera System firmware was updated with new features and modifications across all L6Q devices. These updates enhance the camera’s already robust capabilities, fix known issues and help enforce security best practices.
New features added include:
- L6Q cameras that are configured to send LPR detections to a Private Server now have support for all camera configuration features, such as automatic firmware updates, remote support, re-aiming, deletion and camera health information.
- Additional support has been added for FIPs compliance and missing plates in Eco Mode.
- Accuracy has been improved for direction detection in both front and rear vehicle analysis.
- Performance improvements for LTE modem and event data send over poor internet connectivity.
Cameras powered and connected to ClientPortal or VehicleManager will automatically update. No action is necessary from L6Q users and operators.

L6Q Camera Firmware v1.5.3
Improved Eco Mode
Eco Mode now optimises battery usage and image capture rate by continuously monitoring the image frame and utilizing side-facing radar to trigger the infrared (IR) LEDs.
Extended Capacity Solar Panel Battery Option
The base L6Q Solar Panel kit now includes the option to install two 18 Ah batteries to provide an additional power buffer at night, during consecutive days of low light conditions or during adverse weather.
