Adapting in the moment is what public safety agencies and teams excel at as they work to protect first responders and communities. Adapting can address an intense incident or provide a quick workaround. Unfortunately, it leaves core challenges unresolved.
Redefining your approach to public safety and creating new possibilities starts by recognizing core issues and challenges. Motorola Solutions can help by partnering with you to solve those core issues through the Intelligent Command Center. Here are some examples:
Intelligent Call Routing
The goal of Next Generation Core Services (NGCS) is to deliver 9-1-1 calls to the correct PSAP through GIS data and established policy rules. With our call routing and ESInet service, PSAPs can implement NENA i3 architecture today that uses location to route all calls received by our NGCS system using their existing MSAG data, and a PSAP jurisdictional coverage layer. Agencies are partnering with us to implement this approach, which fills a void for telecommunicators and 9-1-1 callers — ultimately helping to save lives.
Map-based Intelligence
The right map can inform every stage of an event or aid investigations through tactical insights. Call takers and dispatchers can utilize precise caller and resource location to quickly respond. But maps can do so much more when video feeds, analytics, alerts and additional GIS layers are added in.
Seamless Communication Workflows
Call taking, dispatching and communicating mission critical information is a complex process. During large-scale events, the volume of incoming calls is made more challenging with the need to respond with agility, even as additional information flows in from new and growing data sources such as SMS text messages and videos. Agencies can use radio device integration with dispatch consoles to quickly and easily manage communications in the PSAP to improve outcomes.
