L6D Firmware v1.6.0
New features added with L6D Camera System
On November 13, the L6D Camera System firmware will be updated with new features and modifications for all L6D cameras. These updates add to the L6D’s robust capabilities, fix known issues and help to enforce best security practices.
New features added include:
- CommandCentral Aware, Motorola Solutions’ situational awareness software, now supports livestreaming from L6D cameras.
- The Setup Wizard will automatically set the system time and time zone when a camera’s GPS location is set.
- Improvements to the detection engine for vehicle make, model and color as well as Aiming Mode and autofocus performance.
Cameras powered and connected to VehicleManager will automatically update. No action is required from L6D users and operators.

L6Q Firmware v1.7.1
New features added with Firmware Update
On October 20, the L6Q Camera System firmware was updated with new features and modifications across all L6Q devices. These updates enhance the camera’s already robust capabilities, fix known issues and help enforce security best practices.
New features added include:
- L6Q cameras that are configured to send LPR detections to a Private Server now have support for all camera configuration features, such as automatic firmware updates, remote support, re-aiming, deletion and camera health information.
- Additional support has been added for FIPs compliance and missing plates in Eco Mode.
- Accuracy has been improved for direction detection in both front and rear vehicle analysis.
- Performance improvements for LTE modem and event data send over poor internet connectivity.
Cameras powered and connected to ClientPortal or VehicleManager will automatically update. No action is necessary from L6Q users and operators.

L6Q Camera Firmware v1.5.3
Improved Eco Mode
Eco Mode now optimizes battery usage and image capture rate by continuously monitoring the image frame and utilizing side-facing radar to trigger the infrared (IR) LEDs.
Extended Capacity Solar Panel Battery Option
The base L6Q Solar Panel kit now includes the option to install two 18 Ah batteries to provide an additional power buffer at night, during consecutive days of low light conditions or during adverse weather.
