Embrace the future with confidence, not fear.
This insightful statement, from Kim Turner, Communications Administrator for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office, California, is often easier said than done. But the conversation in the recent NENA webinar, Evolving Technology and PSAPs’ Changing Needs, demonstrated PSAPs’ confidence over fear when it comes to implementing cloud technology.
Kim and other peers—Anita Pitt, 911 Manager for Brazos Valley Council of Governments, Texas; and Stacy Needham, ECC Chief for Manatee County Emergency Communications, Florida—talked about how they are embracing the future with the cloud. In the process, we heard a great discussion around changing old ways, facing the fear of doing so, implementing new technology and creating a necessary new path.
