The National Day of Action Against Bullying and Violence is coming up on March 14. This significant day, observed on the third Friday of March, serves as a vital reminder for students, teachers, parents, and the entire community to unite against bullying and violence.
We would like to invite you to take an active role in leveraging your safety resources and technology in your school to support a safer learning environment for everyone. Not only is this a good time to host a workshop to address bullying and violence in school but it is also a great way to re-introduce Rave AppArmor and its features to faculty and staff, highlighting its role in ensuring safety.
Rave AppArmor is an ideal personal safety app for students. Here are a few ways you can use the app to prevent bullying in your school:
- Your administration can share policies and procedures: The app can act as a repository for vital information – such as bullying policies and procedures and mental health resources – and connect students to campus security if necessary.
- Aggregate support resources: Make it easy for students to find mental health support resources and bullying awareness materials for education on this important topic.
- Students can submit images and video: Encourage students to submit images and video to security via the app. Whether it’s screenshots of bullying occurring online, or video of physical bullying taking place on campus, this evidence is helpful to campus administration and security in investigating bullying incidents.
- Students can send anonymous tips: AppArmor has anonymous tip texting capabilities, which empower students to report bullying and violence (either to themselves or a fellow student) without fear of retaliation.
